Look when you visit a dealership for a boat, motorcycle or camper, if you have not done your research your negotiation for that item will start with the Manufactures Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). We started with boats and realized that there was a great need for information on many kinds of large purchase recreational vehicles and products. We then put together a team to research products and most importantly the dealer price. We found experts in their fields and started asking questions. So we started this website because we did not want anyone else to feel disadvantaged like our family did that day. After that experience we felt there had to be a better way. We bought the boat, but we paid too much. We tried to wrangle on price without any real success. The best thing he had going for him was our lack of information. We went to the dealership where the sales guy held all the cards. Magazines featured articles, and had really great photo layouts, it only offered product description and the (MSRP) retail price. The only price we could find was the retail price listings or MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price). All of the product information originated from the manufactures. However the only information available at that time was sales brochures. Once the kit was installed i blew the boat out with a shop blower and it was ready to hit the lake. When our family wanted to purchase our first boat we tried to find information for research. These are easy to make look wavy. I typically work from bow to stern ensuring that the reveals are even as i go. Then i tack it on the ends and in the middle trying to maintain an even reveal. I pull the backing back and reveal about 1" of the adhesive for the whole length of the part. Once i am satisfied with the alignment i will tack the piece and peel the remainder of the backing off to install the rest of the piece. Then i place the part on the deck and get my alignment. I like to fold the backing back to reveal about 1" of the adhesive. Once i was satisfied with the floors i started laying down the flooring. Next I thoroughly cleaned the floors and gunnels with windex and then denatured alcohol. Once i had the completed product i removed all the snaps and blew the boat out. I had to reach out to centurion to ask if I could use their logo in the kit. ![]() ![]() I designed and fabricated the flooring off of the templates. Once I got all the adhesive off I made templates for all the flooring. I started by removing the rubber non slip pads near the bow pass through.
